Voice over clients have very specific voices in their minds when they post voice over projects.
They may ask for a specific tone, voice age, and/or style of delivery and expect the voice over artist to accurately match their expectations.
It's important to always keep an eye on the instructions of every project, especially the "remarks" section of our project form- and more importantly, only accept projects you're confident you have the skills for and can accurately portray. Doing this will increase the chances of getting your submission approved on the first try (boosting your stats!) and getting rebooked as well.
We've put together a few examples of accurate voice tone and age performances by our Pros for your reference to use for inspiration.
Voice ages:
When clients request a specific voice age, they expect it to sound natural and true to the voice age they've selected, not just a "good enough" impression. While many Pros can do very accurate voice age impressions. In some cases, those impressions don't sound very accurate. That is why we recommend keeping only the voice ages that naturally live in your voice.
While different languages do have some differences in intonation and ranges, here are some voice over samples to exemplify expected tones for each age group.

Tones and style:
It's important to be mindful of the tone instructions the client has left in the "remarks" section of every project form. Of course, there are infinite nuances for every delivery style and tone but these are some examples you can use for inspiration. If the expected tone/style is not clear in the client's remarks, always raise a flag or write to support@bunnystudio.com, share the project ID and query, and we'll help you get more clarity from the client.
