Instructional Design: Quality Control Standards

The Quality Control team has a set of questions they ask when reviewing any deliverable submitted to the platform. Keeping them in mind when producing your deliverable will help avoid revision requests and rejections. 

The revision process breaks down the deliverables by element, ensuring every aspect is reviewed. These are the questions asked for each element:

Project requirements

• Is the use of additional narrative resources appropriate and in accordance with the requirements of the brief?

• Were the resources approved in the graphic line used appropriately?

• Were characters used in the narrative approved by the client?

• Are the characters used in the narrative in accordance with what was proposed in the graphic line?

• Was the level of interaction requested by the client applied?

• Is the duration of the learning capsules, modules and total course in accordance with the client's budget?

Learning objectives

• Is the proposed content appropriate to the learning objectives?

• Does the language used allow for a correct understanding of the proposed content?

• Is the type of assessment proposed appropriate for the intended audience and learning objectives?

• Does the type of assessment proposed meet the learning objectives?

• Are the assessment questions and answers ideal for assessing student learning?

Text

• Does the text have the right style that users require?

• Is the tone used in the writing appropriate for the objective requested by the client?

• Is the spelling of written texts accurate?

• Is grammar used appropriately to make texts understandable?

• Is the typography used clearly readable on any type of device?

• Is the size of the text clearly readable on any type of device?

Technical requirements

• Are the notes sent to the Graphic Design and Animation departments clear?

• Do the images used in the reference storyboard come from an image bank? If so, do they contain the necessary ID and link for high quality download?

• Do the self-designed images have the appropriate resolution for the project? 

• Are the editable source files included for the self-designed images?

• Have the deliverables been labeled according date, project name, project stage, client name and document version?

• Have the deliverables been properly organized in folders?

• Do all hyperlinks work correctly?

• Do all activities work correctly?

• Does the course load correctly on all the devices requested?

• Does the course load correctly on all the platforms requested?
