The order of samples on the search page is determined by various traits.
Our algorithm is constantly updating which samples are the best results for every searched keyword combination and diversifying the results to ensure all our Pros have a similar visibility within our platform.
The factors our algorithm takes into account when determining sample relevance are:
- Client reviews: the algorithm calculates the average of all client reviews the Pro has received.
- Successful projects: the algorithm calculates the percentage of projects (Speedies, Contests, and Bookings) the Pro has successfully completed.
- Successful Bookings: the algorithm calculates the percentage of Bookings the Pro has successfully completed.
- Response speed: the algorithm calculates your average response speed based on the time taken to submit revisions and accept Bookings.
- Quality Control revisions: the algorithm calculates the percentage of revisions requested by the QC team against the number of Bookings successfully completed.
- Bookings per sample: the algorithm calculates which of the Pros' samples that have generated the most Bookings.
Each sample will have its own Bookings per sample stat. For this reason, it's important to keep an eye on those samples that have been super successful from your samples page. The more booked samples you have, the higher they will appear in Search. This results in better visibility and more Bookings.
Can I modify the way my samples are ordered in the search page?
No. Samples are not "draggable". Our system will sort the samples automatically based on the stats mentioned above as well as a diversification algorithm we have in place to ensure all Pros have similar possibilities to show high on our Search.
However, you can change the order in which samples are displayed on your profile. Pro profiles have a "Featured samples" section before the "All samples" section, which is displayed once there are featured samples to show. To add a sample to the featured section, go to "Samples" and click on the three dots next to the sample you'd like to add. Next, select "Add to Featured" and voilĂ ! Your sample will be displayed at the top of your profile, in the "Featured samples" section.
