Video: Quality Control Standards

Project Requirements

• Does the video match the purpose selected by the client?

• Does the video follow the instructions provided in the remarks section?

• Does the video follow the script or technical script provided by the client?

• Is the video aligned with the reference sample and/or the external material provided by the client?

• Does the video include the assets provided by the client?

Technical Requirements

• Does the video match the length required by the client?

• Was the video exported in the format requested by the client?

• Was the video exported in the aspect ratio requested by the client?

• Was the video exported in the size requested by the client?

• Was the video exported in the frame rate requested by the client?

Important: if the client didn’t provide instructions regarding the technical specifications, they should follow the requirements of the platforms they are intended for.

If applicable:

• Does the video have color correction?

• Is the color correction aligned with the mood and tone of the video?

• Is the color correction consistent throughout the video?

Other requirements

• Does the video convey a complete idea?

• Are the visual effects and transitions smooth?

• Are the visual effects and transitions aligned with the branding guidelines?

Audio

• Are the audio levels consistent throughout the video?

• Is the music on its own level?

• Are the cuts clean?

• Is the audio properly synced with the video?

• If applicable: are the voices clear and audible?

Timing/Pacing

• Is the timing of the video accurate?

• Is the pace of the video accurate?

• Do the scenes have enough screen time to be clearly understood?

• Do the actions have enough screen time to be clearly understood?

• Are the actions synced accordingly?

• If applicable: is the voice-over synced accordingly?

Graphics

• Are the graphics aligned with the branding guidelines?

• Are the logos aligned with the branding guidelines?

• Do the titles and subtitles have enough screen time to be readable?

• Are the titles and subtitles properly synced?

Typography

• Is the font style aligned with the branding guidelines?

• Is the font color aligned with the branding guidelines?

• Is the font size aligned with the client’s requirements?

Text

• Does the text in the video match the script perfectly?

• Are there any misspellings?

• Are there any grammar issues?

Errors

• Are there any misplaced frames?

• Are there any black frames?

• Are there any glitches?

• Are there any distortions?

• Are there any editing issues?
