A Custom Sample is a short, tailored voice recording, usually between 15 to 20 seconds, requested by a client who is interested in your voice but wants to hear how it sounds with their specific script or style before moving forward with a full project.

Think of it as a mini audition: a chance to make a strong first impression and show the client how well you can match their needs.

This is available only for the Voice-over Category.

 

📩 How does it work?

If a client requests a Custom Sample, our Customer Experience (CX) team will reach out to you via email with all the details, including the script and any specific instructions or style preferences.

You’ll be asked to record a short 15–20 second sample using the provided script.

Our team will send the Sample to the client, who will then review it, and decide whether to move forward with a full project!

 

💰 Are Pros paid for Custom Samples?

Yes! You’ll receive $10 USD for each Custom Sample you complete and deliver on time, even if the client doesn’t end up moving forward with a full project.

✨ How to let clients know you can provide Custom Samples

To let clients know you're open to recording Custom Samples, simply enable this option in your Rates and Preferences page.

Once activated, this information will appear on your Pro Profile, signaling to clients that you're available for these short, paid auditions.
