Work Rejected - Overprocessed?

Hi Ted, Thanks for reaching out!

I listened to your audios and the only thing I noticed is a problem with sibilances that can be solved by using some de-esser, but I couldn't identify over-processing problems. Nonetheless, we have a weekly meeting with the QC team on Thursdays, so I will take this case to discuss with them and will let you know the consensus.

    Best regards,

    Hi Steven,

Appreciate the response. I would greatly appreciate if you could bring this up with the team and see if there's anyway to reconsider the recent rejections.

What level of De Esser would be needed to solve this? Also do you recommend De Esser first than Normalize?

Thanks for your help and I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Hi again Ted!

We discussed your case with the team and the conclusion was:

    1) As I told you, you can fix the sibilance problem with a de-esser. A reduction between 4 and 6 dB should be enough. This process should be done before normalization because normalization is the last step.

    2) Your recording lacks of mid-range frequencies, but since you argue that you are not using any EQ, we can assume that its the frequency response of the microphone you are using.

So as a conclusion, we all agree to approve your work. Could you please share your username and mail so we can take that info into account when we receive new projects from you?

    Thanks again for reaching out.

    Best regards,

    Steven.
