Happy Valentine's Day!
Happy Valentine's day everybody!
Love comes in many shapes and sizes. Valentine's day is a day to worship and show what you feel. Who says it has to be only for your significant other? Today we celebrate our love for voice overs and the reason why we're in this industry.
Personally speaking, the first time I fell in love with voice overs was when I saw the Nightmare Before Christmas when I was like 5 years old. I couldn't believe how awesome the characters were and how much I felt listening to Jack speaking. It was mesmerizing know that there was a human behind him. To me, it was Jack, the Pumpkin King speaking and it was unimaginable to think of someone being him. It was something I still can't describe and definitely knew I wanted to use my voice to give life to figurines and to convey so many feelings like that person did with me. I, then, confirmed this when I found myself raising my hands in the air listening to Goku in Dragon Ball asking earthlings for our energy to make a Genkidama and kill Majin Buu once and for all.
It was something I still can't describe completely but it rose a desire in me to want to use my voice to bring characters to life to and to be able to use my voice to convey so many feelings to people like me. I, then, confirmed this when I found myself raising my hands in the air while Goku in Dragon Ball asked earthlings to give him the necessary energy to make a Genkidama that would kill Majin Buu once and for all.
