4 Tips to Get Started with Bunny Studio - Voiceover
Ever wondered how to get started with VoiceBunny? Did you create your account and are wondering how to get yourself out there? Well, we have compiled 4 great tips that may help you in your journey of becoming a great Bunny Pro!
- Start with lower rates than you would usually charge. Once you start getting more invitations and build your stats, you'll be able to gradually increase them. Keep in mind that when I say ‘lower’ rates I don't mean you should ask incredibly low rates, but try to lower them a bit more than you would for one-time, irregular projects. Use your client bulk-rates instead.
-
Keep your profile updated and make sure you have at least 10 samples for every language/age/gender/category/skill/purpose you have set in your profile. 85% - 90% of our projects are bookings. This means that our clients browse the database looking for that perfect voice for their projects most of the time. The more high-quality samples that you have, the better!
Also, remember these samples shouldn’t be longer than 30 seconds. While we do accept samples with background music or other voices, they are not ideal. The objective is to let our clients know what you’re capable of, so adding many processes or background sounds can be counterproductive. We have a lot of categories you can make use of, too. Don't be afraid to use them! Use all the ones that apply to you when uploading your samples. We also have numerous categories where we have very few samples. Take advantage of that and upload samples to those. It will make you easier to find.
-
Only accept projects you can complete. This may sound obvious, but it’s really important. Most of our talents react to the project invitations we send their way very quickly, so our response times are usually pretty fast. We expect all our Pros to be 100% sure they can do the work before they commit to them to the end. If you’re unsure you can complete a project within the allotted time or you're hesitant your voice would be a good fit, it’s better not to accept it. This is especially true if the project you’ve been invited to is a contest or a speedy where revisions (if any) will need to be done fast. Remember: our clients usually expect their recordings at the speed of light!
If you don't take care of these projects within the time given, keep in mind that your stats will be negatively impacted and your ranking will drop. You may not get invitations to projects as often as you would otherwise.
- Check and double-check your recordings before submitting. Our QC team is very picky, so the files have to be top-notch right off the bat. To avoid any extra revisions due to the files being exported incorrectly or having any issues you didn’t notice, please make sure you review all the files more than once. It will help a great deal if you make absolutely sure the files you’re uploading are the right ones and that they are uploaded to the proper parts of the project if this is required.

Thanks Angela, I was particularly interested in setting the rates information since as a newbie I do not have any rate ref to go by in VB. I could go by what I set my clients in the UK but this would not be accurate.
I also have a number of demos spanning across a number of genres so I will look to take advantage of those areas.
I am looking forward to see how the British Voice Overs really get to grips with this new style of VO service.

Hi Duncan!
Well, setting rates is super variable. What may be fair in one country or for some people, may not be for another so we actually do not suggest rates to anyone. We want you to be comfortable with your rewards so you are free to choose what you want to charge!
About the demos, that's awesome! The more samples you upload in different categories and that showcase your different skills, the better! Our clients really love versatile and adaptable voice actors.
Thank you for working with us and remember we're here to help anytime!
Thank you Angela for this information it is very helpful. Thanks again

Hi Angela
i am a newbie to VB and just submitted my first audio which was the apllication project .The review came back saying that "This audio doesn't sound like it was recorded with professional equipment. Please ensure you are using a professional microphone and equipment to record properly."
Thing is i am using a Professional USB Condenser Microphone and Audacity to record and i reviewed the project several times before submitting. i have one day and 5 hours to resubmit but not sure what could be the issue why the audio is not sounding as if it was done using professional equipment. Any advice or suggestions, please?
Trying to keep my confidence up ...cause i'm still "hopping" to be a VoiceBunny!!..........or a comedian.
cheers
