Sorry, I entered this before I was finished. :/  My application audition was rejected for "electrical noise throughout" which I am working on, and "some editing issues".  Is there a way to find out specifically what the editing issues were so that I can fix them and not make those same mistakes in the future?  Thanks!

    Hi Angela,

I responded to your answer a while back, but I'm thinking that you didn't get my response. So, here it is.

    Thanks!

    Hello, Lorraine!

Thank you for sharing your audio.

There is indeed a loud electrical noise throughout the deliverable. It's easy to miss it because it's always present. However, you can hear it clearly in 0:09, 0:30-0:33 right in the gap. It sounds as if someone was cooking in the room :P

Make sure you pump up the volume to hear it clearly.

We invite you to review a webinar we hosted on how to control and manage hiss here:

    Best,

    Juan.

Thanks for getting back with me about that. I will definitely listen to those places again, and check out the webinar.

Could you let me know what the editing issues are that need correcting, as well. Or is the electrical noise what 'editing problems' means? I very much want to correct everything so that I can try again with more positive results. :)

    Thank you!

    Lorraine

    Hi, Lorraine.

Yes, regarding your read, there are some audible clicks which could be from editing and some sound like mouth clicks. You can hear them clearly at 0:10, 0:42. See if you can edit them out.

The sentence at 0:15 that starts "in many languages", has an odd intonation. It sounds as the continuation of the previous line, but it feels disconnected from the script because of how it's edited and timed.

    I hope this helps!

Let us know how it goes!

    Kind regards,

    Juan.
