Favorited Samples
Someone touched on this in an earlier thread, but being able to see which samples have been favorited/how many times would be incredibly helpful. After the last Webinar, I decided to finally try and pare down my samples portfolio to only my best ones, but I get freaked out whenever the notification comes up informing me I may not want to delete the sample since it's possible it has been favorited and a potential client won't be able to find me anymore. Is there a possible way to see/know which samples have been favorited? That would really help me know which ones clients find worth keeping. :)

Hi Katie!
This is a great question. At this moment, we don't have that option set. However, I suggest you review your Bookings and take note of the samples that land you the most Bookings. These are usually the ones with better stats and that rank higher in the search because of their stats. Once you have pinpointed the ones you know are bringing you the most, it will be easier to determine which other samples you can remove. Also, you can see if some of these samples that rank high are not representative of your work and take them down as well. This could also be an option that would kind of like restart your profile a bit.
How does that sound? Makes sense?
That's reasonable! :) I'm just thinking of the client and how frustrated they may be if I delete a sample that they'd been hanging on to that hadn't previously gotten me booked. However, I know those are the exceptions and not the rule. I'll see what I can do!
Awesome, Katie!
Thanks for letting me know. I'll make sure anyway to review what ideas we can come up with to tackle this! Do you have any suggestions of what I can propose? :)
Maybe have the sample as it is currently in the sample page, but with a little <3 x [number of times it's been favorited]? Like, if it's been favorited once, just the heart, but if it's been favorite 5 times, <3 x 5 (not five hearts, but just one heart with a little 5 next to it or something?)
That way I can at least know if it was a sample someone found appealing. While we as Pro's are always hoping our work is our best work every single time, sometimes it's hard to hear the samples with an outside ear, so to speak, so samples we think we did really well on, don't actually reflect what is desirable to clients in general. Goodness knows we do that to ourselves in other areas of our lives (fashion faux pas, bad eye makeup, silly trends, etc...)
Since we're appealing to paying customers, we want to make sure we're giving them what *they* want, not necessarily what *we* think they want. :) Just being able to know which ones sound the best to them is helpful. Just a little heart icon or something would help us know which ones to keep :D
That's such a good idea!
I'm so passing this feedback over. It's really great!! It would be super helpful, too.
Also, yeah... it's very complicated when you self-produce to know what's the best you can do. I personally am too hard on myself so I'm always biased thinking I can always do better and end up in a loop! I totally get what you mean.
Thank you as always!
