Just wondering...
This is the second (and probably the last) time I attempt to become part of VB. I was denied twice. Although my audition file is in Spanish, the issue VB found was "...too much background noise/hiss..."
I'd like to know if anyone agrees...

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated...!

Hi Cesar!
Listening to your recording, there is indeed a lot of hiss in the background. Your voice sounds really well so the microphone's capsule is working fine. However, the issue could be present in other components from your equipment. Are you using a USB microphone? This could be the issue!
I suggest you take a look at our webinar recap on hiss noise and track the issue down: https://goo.gl/nlaCvU
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your comment, Angela...!
I may decide to invest in a XLR microphone and try it again in the future.
Please do, Cesar!
We have several articles that may help you choose a microphone and interface combo! You can check them in our Tips and Advice section
Hello, Cesar!
A couple of thoughts regarding your recording. Yes, there is hiss throughout the file. Although it may not sound that loud at the moment, but if the client wanted to do some processing later on, like tp compress the voice and bring the overall volume up, the noise would become more noticeable.
On the other hand, I invite you to try a more natural and conversational tone. You may want to try a slight faster pace to give the text more rhythm and engage the listener. It sounds a little cold at the moment. Try another read and this time really owning the script. That should make you sound more confident and natural.
Kind regards,
Juan
