    Pitching in here, too :)

    In regards to quality, the voice sounds very very filtered. Correct me if I'm wrong, but my guess is you're using a noise reduction filter and it's degrading the audio a lot. The hiss and the background noise is still very present, but filtered, so it sounds quite hummy while your voice sounds with a boost in the mids and and brights.  

    There are also some clips due to editing issues. Try adding longer fades and cutting the audio a bit further from the ending of the word. This way, the fade won't affect the last word or syllable of the word you mentioned.
