Rejected for the third time!
I was rejected for the third time today. This time for echo and hiss. I now realize that I am going to have to purchase a new interface. Having to get back far from the mic causes a echo sound. The last time I was rejected for plosives and the first time for background noise. I'm making progress I just have to get a new interface it's to noisy. My read was affected as well because of being in a hurry to meet the deadline last night. I just narrowly got it submitted. Right up to a second. So I am not a Quitter and I will try again when I get the new interface. Thank you

Does anyone recommend the focusrite audio interface.
Have not used it myself, but it is popular and very reasonable.
Here is one product on Amazon (note the very positive rating):

Here is a link that will take you to Focusrite products on Sweetwater.

The Focusrite Scarlett Solo is around $100. That is a very good deal.

All the reviews here were positive except for one Windows user who notes that things seem ok on Mac.
Hi Raymond!
Switching gear maybe a good option. However, keep in mind that you only have one last chance to apply. We give you 3 reconsiderations only, so please share the files the gear you have provides you before submitting the recording to the system.
We'll be here to help and show you the areas where you may be having trouble so you can make any adjustments before, maybe, getting rejected.
We have an article with some interfaces we have tried and consider to be good options. You may want to try them out! You can read the article here: https://help.bunnyinc.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/203362904
I would also suggest you review how your acoustic treatment is going. If you have echo and hiss, more likely there's a problem with the space you're recording in and part of the problem is due to your treatment. I suggest you also review that!
Thank you my space is in great shape. The echo came from being to far from mic trying to keep mic stand noise out. I have purchased a Shure SM58 mic. A Dbx 286s pre amp processor. A new mic stand and audio technica headphones. Purchasing a focusrite 2i4 today. I have been doing Voice Over work for 4 years. This has been an experience that has shown me that having good equipment makes all the difference. Thanks voice bunny for helping see this. I have long term clients that would thank you too. I am moving forward and loving it. Thanks again!
Hi Raymond!
We're definitely glad to help!
For this type of applications I would suggest you try a large diaphragm condenser microphone. The SM58 works better for live applications and may be a bit boomy for some type of voices. Also, as it's an omnidirectional microphone, it's prone to picking up more background noises and room echo.
If you want to keep on the dynamic mic line, I would suggest you get a Shure SM7B or an ElectroVoice RE20. They're both great for studio applications and are specifically designed for voice recording. They, however, need a separate equipment like a Cloudlifter as it requires a lot of gain to work.
Hope this helped!
Hello Angela I have updated my equipment. I just purchased a Sterling S50 large diagram condenser mic and I really like it. I done a Voice Over job tonight with it a radio imaging one. I am trying to send it to you for feed back on what it sounds like now that all of my equipment and studio has been updated. I can't seem to send it from drive for some reason.
Hi Raymond!
Thanks for letting us know! Can you please upload it then to SoundCloud and share the link? Maybe that works!

I want to take this time to thank you Angela for you support and advice. I want to thank Voice Bunny for the process and experience. If I had not gone through this experience I would have just settled for business as usual. I now have great equipment and great sound. Most importantly I am now a Voice Bunny Pro. Thank you so much!
