    Hi Connor!

Thanks for sharing the file! You have a very nice timber :)

So, quality wise, the microphone sounds really great. However, there's some hiss and background noises throughout the recording. You may want to review the space you're recording in and maybe make some adjustments to the acoustic treatment you're giving it. We have some resources here in the Community that you can use. We hosted a webinar on acoustics and we have a post where we give you tips on easy acoustic treatment solutions you can try. You can read our tips and advice post here and the webinar recap here

I can also pickup some mouth noises and breaths so make sure you are well hydrated when you record. There are also some of the that can be edited out, so I would also advice you to review how you're editing your recordings to reduce this problem.

Now, when it comes to performance, I feel you mumble some words a bit. I suggest you try to work on separating the words and improving your enunciation. When you're recording voice overs, each word has to be well pronounced so the message is clear. We hosted a webinar with Tommy Griffiths, one of our top Pros, and he gave us a lot of awesome insights on how he approaches his performances. You may want to take a look at the video! You can find the recap here.

    Hope this helps :)

    Hello, Connor!

Thanks for your audio. After listening to your audio, the voice sounds distant from the mic, and the ambient is too present in the recording. Also, the voice sounds filtered, the frequency spectrum is unbalanced. What mic are you using?

Additionally, I suggest you try a more natural and conversational tone. At some points your voice sounds forced, as if you went for a low register but it's not your natural range. Also, the script sounds too cold; practice the script a couple of times to familiarize yourself with it and achieve a more natural and fluent read.

Let us know what you think!

    Best,

    Juan.
