Muffled sound?
Last night, I recorded three auditions with the same acoustic setup that I used to record my accepted Voice Bunny application audition. The three auditions were rejected due to a muffled sound. I agree with Voice Bunny's feedback here; the sound did have a boxy/muffled tone to it, but I'm confused. If I had the same setup, why would the quality change? I want to have consistent sound that my clients and I can rely upon so I need to correct this issue.
I have included a picture of my original setup (used for the application recording). Please share whatever insights or suggestions you may have for helping me achieve consistent, professional sound. Thank you!

Hello Heidi
Thank you for emailing us about this.
Checking your setup, the way in which your mic sits on top of your pillows is not the most ideal. Ideally, the microphone shouldn't be so enclosed as it will make the low frequencies to be boosted. I suggest you try a different setup using a mic stand and adjusting where and how you're treating your space.
