Understand root cause of revision request
Hey Angela, Juan, and the VB team, would love to get your input on a revision request I received last night.
Here's the audio:

As I've now successfully resubmitted the project, I don't have the exact statement from QC, but it was to the effect of "Please check your recording chain, and editing as the audio sounds muffled. It's lacking mid and high frequencies which makes it sound muffled."
My approach to this project was the exact same as my past 100 successful projects... thus my confusion, and desire to make sure I understand what might have changed in the QC team's process in reviewing samples, so I can be sure to correct it for my next project! :)
(If you agree it sounds off, I'm guessing it could be my equalization settings, but would love to get your input)
Also, in case it's helpful, here's the project, and audio that was accepted by QC today when I resubmitted:

Hi Owen!
Thanks for sharing!
The recording does sound very boomy. Both sound quite boomy to me and I checked 4 more other projects from these past days and they all sound super boomy, too.
I do believe you should review your EQ settings to cut the muffling frequencies. Most of the time, the trouble frequencies that create this annoying boominess are located between 250 - 400 Hz. You could also cut everything below 60 Hz just to make sure you're not including unnecessary frequencies in your delivery.
Another tip you can try is to record a bit farther from the mic. The nearer you are, the easier the lower frequencies can get picked and, therefore, be amplified. Not too much as you may lose some highs, but just a tad.
Try that out and, if you want, share them here :)
Hi Owen!
I agree with Angela. There is a boost in some frequencies in the low spectrum that are affecting the intelligibility of your voice.
It'd be great to hear you with the EQ completely flat, sometimes less is more :)
Another take could be cutting down a bit around the 250 HZ. This will make the voice sound cleaner and easier to understand.
Let me know what you think!
Best,
Juan.
Juan & Angela,
Thanks so much for reviewing and your feedback! I feel silly that my EQ has been off for so long (though... it wasn't bad enough to be noticed until now :))
I've taken your suggestions in my new recordings: Cutting below 60 Hz, and making the rest nearly flat.
Can you please review this one and let me know if its better? (sorry I have a hard time hearing the issue.)

Thanks!
Hi Owen!
It's much better but it's still quite dirty. Can you try to cut a bit on 250 Hz - 300 Hz? I think that would do it!
