Feedback needed
Hi everyone!
I'm looking to get feedback as I try and find my niche. Do I sound like a young male adult or middle age male adult? I've been auditioning as senior adult, unsuccessfully and think this has impacted me negatively. Any and all feedback is welcomed!

Hi Frank!
To me both sound very Young Adult. Especially the one named island_of_lemurs_madagascar. The file jock_the_hero_dog can be in the middle between Young Adult and Middle Age, but I'd add them as Young Adult for sure!
Also, I sense some noise reduction on your files. Are you using this type of processing? If not, are you adding some kind of filtering to your recording? It's not terrible, but it's a bit noticeable. If you can, try to pinpoint which errors you're filtering with the process and fix them as much as you can prior to the process. This way, you'll have a much cleaner and nicer recording!
Hope this helped :)
Hi Angela,
Thanks for the feedback! Though I'm definitely not a young adult any more, my voice still may be taking on that quality which explains why I may have lost contests while auditioning as Senior or Middle Age Adult.
As far as noise reduction goes, I didn't apply any noise reduction nor filtering on either samples. During recording, I verify peaks are around the -3 dB level to ensure I don't introduce more of the noise floor when normalizing to -3 dB. I do remove mouth clicks and pops manually using spot healing or auto healing in Audition where it is obvious and distracting.
I think auditioning in the Senior age range may account for my failure to win contests. What steps or measures can I take to re-instate my account in order to continue with Voice Bunny and provide voice over in a more appropriate age range?
Thanks!
Frank
Hi Frank!
I think your voice works great in male young adult, not at all senior :)
In terms of performance, try a more natural and conversational tone. It sounds a little stiff at the moment and that may also be influencing your results.
Best,
Juan.
Thanks Juan!
I'll upload some more samples of my voice in a more conversational style.

Hi Frank!
I understand the editing part. I suggest you not to use the auto healing in Audition but to edit the breaths yourself by cutting and fading. This healing what usually does is to filter the spaces you designate and it makes it sound unnatural. I recommend you to cut the very loud or distracting breaths you see. It makes the flow much more natural and will not include the strange filtering sound :)
Hope this helps!
Hi Angela,
I need feedback on this recording, you emailed me earlier and said this will be the only venue to reactivate my account by sharing a recorded sample and getting you to feedback on it. Here it is:

Let me know soon!
Thanks
Hi Brian!
When I attempt to open the file it says it's not found. Would you mind uploading it again and sharing? Also, can you please create a new thread for your case? This is from another person and it could create confusion :)
Thank you!
