Hi Shaundria!
There's a lot of background noise on the recording. It sounds like the fan of a computer or a refrigerator (the source could be different, but the sound is similar to that one). Please review the acoustic treatment of the space you're recording in. You may need to change the location or add additional acoustic treatment to it.
Also, there are a lof ot plosives and mouth noises in your recording. You may want to try using a pop filter in front of your microphone and get a bit farther away from the capsule. Not that much to avoid room echo from impacting the recording, but a little bit to avoid the 'p' sound to sound so harsh!
