Brand New Samples for Reactivation
Following up on my Tuesday conversation with Angela:
1. I have now deleted all samples you identified as disqualifying.
2. I spent a few hours today addressing your concerns in my hardware chain.
3. I am providing links to 5 samples, newly recorded late today...keeping in mind the specific criticisms that you provided as common issues in some of my work.
Please consider these samples as an opportunity for feedback...and, if they pass muster, as my request for reactivation of my profile.
Thanks!

Just bumping this post again. I was expecting to hear something back by the end of the week. Anything that can be done to expedite the review would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Chuck
I'm sorry that we weren't able to get back to you here. I had to take some days off due to some personal calamity that occurred and required immediate action from my part.
I listened to all the files and there's a lot of hiss in the background of your voice. The hiss is very very loud. I'm listening to them using the AudioTechnica ATH M50x and the Shure MDR7506 which are the same headphones our QC team uses.
There are also several editing issues that create clips. This can be fixed by adding fades on the ends and starts of the edits. Also, the areas where the edits sound may not be the best as it can make the take sound a bit unnatural.
I believe the noise is coming from the equipment and not from the space. Which microphone and preamp/interface are you using? It does sound digital.
Hi Angela,
So sorry that you ran into some troubles. I hope everything is better now.
I'm using the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.
thx,

Hi Chuck!
As Angela mentions, I also hear loud levels of hiss throughout the recording. Additionally, the voice sounds a bit distant and you get to hear the room.
What equipment are you using?
Best,
Juan.
I use a Blue Baby Bottle.
Well, I'm going to get this figured out. I've hired someone to help me diagnose the issues, starting tomorrow. So I'll get back to you with more samples thereafter.
thx,
C-
Awesome, Chuck.
Thanks for letting us know! We'll be here for you to give you all our input and feedback at anytime.
Hi Angela and Juan,
After working with a true audio pro to make things better, I believe the issues you've raised have now been addressed.
Please listen to this sample, and let me know your thoughts: http://chuckbrown.com/transfer/vb/New%20VB%20Audition.wav

Hi Chuck!
First of all, let me tell you that I'm really happy with how far you've come. Your quality has improved so much and I'm really happy you were so open to our feedback and willing to make changes. It's really great!
I'm going to reinstate your account as of now as I do believe quality has come a long, long way! The only issue I find is that there's a lot of sibilance and brightness in the file. Would you mind trying to add a de-esser to see if the brightness is reduced?
Thank you!
I sure will. Thank you very much!
