First time rejection :(
Hello!
I have been on here for over a year and this was the first time I have been outright rejected for a project. I was disappointed when the response eventually came back, not saying that I could revise it, but that the work was rejected due to age.
I have had a quick read of this forum and it's not an isolated case, I have been on here as a "teenage female" since I started and nothing has changed about my voice, so I was absolutely gutted to not get another chance to record. You can change the pitch, tone and expression of a read, but audio quality I understand is a good reason to reject. It was particularly frustrating for me as it was quite a high-value speedy and to not have the chance to revise it if it's not quite right felt very unfair to me.

Would you kindly take a listen to this and tell me why it wasn't teenage enough? And can something be done about the stats on my page so my future opportunities are not affected by this?

I was reviewing the project you shared with us and I wanted to let you know that some of the speedies for Spotify require to be completed as quickly as possible. We understand perfectly that voice actors can re-record with a different intention and sound more similar to what the client is requesting. However, in most cases (I'm not saying it's your case), when we ask for a revision because the pro doesn't sound in the selected age range, we find that the new audio doesn't meet the specifications either and delays the process even further. Therefore, sometimes we prefer to reject and invite other pros.
However, I want to apologize for any inconvenience caused and we will keep your name in mind so that in future Spotify speedies we can give you a second chance if required.
