    Hello Chanse!

Thank you for bringing your case to us. I just listened to your recording and to be very honest, I think you have a more "Young adult" voice! I believe that you would greatly benefit from applying to that age bracket instead!

This is because you have quite a low end and a medium pitch, we tend to associate teenage voices with a higher pitch and less low-end, like this sample.

You could also try and record with a higher pitch, that might do the trick! Please share with us that sample if you want some feedback!

Finally, the room echo is definitely the main issue, I think that if you sort that out you can always apply again!

Let me know if this helps and I hope you have a great day!

    Daniel

    Hey, Daniel

Thanks to you for the quick reply, I didn't expect to get an answer this soon haha

I'm obviously not an expert in accurately determining which type of voice fits each category, so this did help me out a lot, thanks! Also, I'll definitely try higher pitch in my future recordings. Yesterday, I fixed all of my room echo and I sent my recording for the second time, and got rejected too. I'm of course not giving up in a long term of time, but its still frustrating I wasn't selected even I fixed all of it. I guess it could just be my micophone not being the best.

I'd love if you gave me a little of your time and hear my second recording, since I'd like to have your opinion on it. Thanks again for the reply, have a great day too!

    Hello again Chanse!

Of course! Remember we are here to help with as much as we can!

In this second recording, I hear another issue, some distortion, I recommend that you lower your mic gain since it is too high at the moment and can cause that distorted sound, for example, at 0:05 on the word "Solo" or at 0:12 over the whole phrase "Nuestro grupo de locutores". be super careful because distortion is definitely a cause for rejection.

In regards to room echo, the phenomenon I can hear on that recording is mostly "Boominess", which relates to a lot of low-end frequencies being reflected at the mic. Could you share a pic of your acoustic set up to review it a bit more? You can also try and apply a high pass filter around 100-150Hz and see if that helps to get rid of some of those low frequencies that are problematic at the moment.

Let me know and I will be here ready to help!

    Daniel
