Audition rejection
Why was audition rejected? I received the same result 3 years ago when i auditioned but I'll admit I was a novice and did not know what I know now about sound quality. I followed the instructions and did not utilize noise reduction, however, the sound quality is greatly improved with the noise reduction effect applied. I'd like to audition again, but i am at a loss as to what to fix in order to have a better chance at a successful audition.

Hi Tanaka,
Thank you for reaching out to us! :)
We strongly suggest not using noise reduction methods, as this can cause other quality issues, such as over-processing and sometimes sibilance.
The best way to tackle white noise/background noise is to find the root cause for why, or what is causing it to be present in recordings. The most common reason is that the gain on the preamp is dialed too high! Personally, been guilty of this myself in the past.
We have a page that outlines ways to help manage white noise here: https://bit.ly/2ZixGeI
I noticed there was mention of room echo also in your rejected application. Having listened myself, it certainly is present in your audio. It sounds like you are recording in a large open-spaced room - Which I assume you are not, but hard surfaces close by, etc can cause this reverberation in recordings.
Here is a handy article to help with re-jigging your recording space and adding further acoustic treatment: https://bit.ly/2MrNsSV.
If you want to reapply again, it would be advisable to have a read of the articles I've provided above, and have a play around with re-jigging your recording space and finding out what could be causing the white noise in your recordings.
Other than these two issues, your performance and quality sound good!
Hope you have a lovely week!
Kind regards,
Samantha
