REVERB
Salve,

Hello Terry!
We will be more than happy to help you with the reverb issue!
To begin, could you share a couple of samples from projects that had that issue? You can upload them to your favorite cloud service and share a public link here.
Also, if you want, you can also share a couple of pictures from your recording space so we can identify what might be causing that room echo for you.
Kind regards,
Daniel

Hello again Terry!
I was trying to check those files but the links seem to be private, could you make them public so I can check them out and help you?
Thank you!
Kind regards,
Daniel

Hi terry!
Sorry for the delay, it's been a crazy couple of weeks. Let me share my thoughts.
First of all, that booth is really cool! It is nice to have it separated from your other space since it definitely helps you avoid external noises. On the other hand, I do hear some slight room echo in your file, it can be because the ceiling and some wall sections of that booth are hard surfaces and can reflect your voice. Also, I wanted to ask, which material are those blue and white panels made from? they look "hard", although they could work as diffusers, they would definitely reflect sound if they are made from a hard material, so they could be causing you those reflections as well.
Let me know so I can give you some extra tips regarding that beautiful acoustic space!
Kind regards,
Daniel
hi, don't worry about the delay, I'm understanding. ceiling: polystyrene. walls: carpet + colored panels: polyurethane 5 cm. reverb is always challenged in Speedy projects, even before when the studio didn't have this kind of acoustics but carpet everywhere and sponge on every wall.
unfortunately I will be forced to give up the Speedy projects.
Hi Terry,
Thanks for the detailed explanation!
I was researching a bit about the materials and I do believe some of them can cause those reflection issues. For example for the ceiling I found this:
So, my theory is that the ceiling and the wall sections that are open (the gray and white parts) are causing those issues. I do recommend adding a bit more acoustic foam to those sections since that could help you reduce room echo a lot!
Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you today!
Kind regards,
Daniel
