    Hi JGoods,

Thank you for reaching out to us here.

I've just requested access to your recordings, so at the moment can not comment on your quality.

Nevertheless, regarding USB mics. USB microphones are not ideal for professional voice over applications as they have a very high noise floor due to having all the components inside. We would recommend an upgrade to an interface + XLR microphone.

If you'd like to know more about microphones, we hosted a webinar that explains in detail how they work, why USB microphones are not ideal and we also give some recommendations on mics you can try. You can find the webinar recap here: https://help.bunnystudio.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/205414030-Microphone-101

Here is also a handy article we did about helping to find a good mic for your voice: https://help.bunnystudio.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/218024227-Tip-2-Choose-a-microphone-that-fits-with-your-voice-tone-

Hope you have a great weekend!

    Kind regards,

    Hi Josh,

Hope you had a great weekend!

Just had a listen to your audio, you did a lovely reading of the script!

Regarding audio quality, here are a few things to mention.

There is a lot of loud white noise present throughout your recording, this is not an uncommon feature to happen using a USB mic. We would recommend getting an XL mic as our clients expect high-quality audio.
Another thing, and not to sound cheeky here - I'm not sure which headphones you use, but make sure that you have a good set of closed-backed headphones! Trust me, before upgrading my headphones, I never heard half of the issues in my voice over work!

There is also a lot of room echo in your recordings, sounds like you recorded in a large open room. I doubt that you are, but it would be beneficial to sort out the acoustic treatment for your recording space. Some voice actors convert a wardrobe full of clothes, cupboards under staircases (home studios don't need to look pretty), others build a box, etc. But whatever you choose to use as your recording space, here are some useful tips to help with the acoustic treatment: https://bit.ly/2MrNsSV

And finally, there is the odd breathing noise heard in your audio. Which is easy to fix, you can fade them in your recording or, preferably, edit them out altogether.

    Hope this has been helpful!

If you would like to send more audio files here in the future, I'd be more than happy to offer feedback or help.

    Kindest regards,

    Samantha
