I have not received the application/test project
I signed up last night and it told me I would receive a test project within one hour and would have 48-hours to complete it. I have checked email relentlessly and nothing has come through yet; it's been about eight hours; so far nothing. Thanks!.

Hello James,
Thank you for reaching out!
I was checking your application project and I noticed that you managed to work on it and QC asked for some revisions
Let me know if you have any questions or need any help with it!
Kind regards,
Daniel
Hi Daniel!
Thanks for your reply to this posting. Actually, yes, I could certainly use your expertise. I was told I had "loud noise," which I tested and tested and my floor was -60db - with the mic on its normal position for recording, the meter was flat, nothing. So, how I go about getting below -60db for a floor is going to be quite the challenge I expect. I was also told there was an "Echo." I've installed very expensive soundproofing all around me and even draped a moving blanket over everything except the microphone and a small portion of the monitor to read the script. I have no idea what my voice is echoing off of. Can you listen to it and tell me if you hear those things Hinishu said he heard? How do I get it to you?

Unfortunately, time is not on my side because of the small window of it I have been given to try to fix these issues that I didn't even realize existed. I am within hours of having to resubmit something else. So I'll just try again and see what happens. Wish me luck! If not, it's fine, this gig may just not be meant for me.
Hello James!
Sorry I took a bit to reply, it's been a couple of crazy days!
I just checked the file you shared and the loud noise I believe is related to Plosives, you can hear some of them on the first phrase. My recommendation is to give it a go at applying a high pass filter at around 100-150Hz (you can check this by ear and make sure that it removes those noises but not your natural low end) luckily I think that your noise floor is not the issue there :) also, the usual recommendations for avoiding plosives apply here, ie: using a pop filter, recording slightly at an angle, etc, but the high pass filter can do wonders!
In regards to the room echo or reverberation comment, there is some of it that is still audible, for example on the second 0:04, it is slight though, so I think it might be easy to solve! If you want, you can share with me some pics of your recording space to check them out and maybe give some comments about what might be causing those sound reflections.
Don't worry if the project is rejected or expires, we can always help you apply again after we help you with those issues here!
Kind regards,
Daniel
Hi Daniel:
I resubmitted a retake using a 6-inch dual-screen pop filter and my Electro-Voice RE20 Dynamic Broadcast Microphone w/ Variable-D with my sE Reflection Filter PRO Portable Vocal Booth.

Hopefully, this will pass, but if not, I'll keep trying new stuff and resubmitting as long as y'all let me.
Thanks for the engagement, Daniel. I really appreciate it. I will post a pic of my studio area for you to evaluate if this doesn't work. ;-)

Hello James!
Awesome! Plosives are completely gone now, so we can discard that issue right now :)
Regarding the room echo, it is still present so I think the picture will help to check the space and maybe give you some tips on how to handle it! To get ahead of myself a bit, one of my fellow QC agents shared this video with me which I find quite amazing!:

The quick version of it is that towels seem to have a great absorption coefficient, so that is a neat trick to get more absorption without even having to buy more panels!
I will be awaiting your pictures to see if I have any acoustic tips for you.
Kind regards,
Daniel
