Re: Application Rejection and Resubmission
Hey everyone! Hope your day is going well!
My name is David Piper. Awesome to meet ya!
I recently applied to work with Bunnystudio. Here is my attached audition.
Obviously, as you can I'm sure tell, it was rejected due to "boxiness". Which is 100% accurate. (Shame emoji)
I made a few changes to my recording booth and moved some things around. I was hoping to get feedback to see if the improvement over the recording would now be up to Bunny Studio rigorous standards. I think it is, but I'd be a fool not to trust the amazing years of experience located here.
This is still raw, no compression or effects other then a mild RX7 de-click. Simply normalized to -3db, and then fade ins and outs on phrases.
(It was burning me inside not to touch any limiter!)
I appreciate any feedback as I know it's in your spare time.
Thanks for listening and I hope you have an amazing day!

Hello David,
Thank you for reaching out here!
First of all, let me say that the difference is night and day, you did an AMAZING job here!
Really, congratulations. Sometimes getting to that point with someone can take a long time and lots of back and forth, but you did it all yourself, and really, great job!
Your last recording sounds ready to go to me! I think you don't need any changes. I would personally just lower a little bit the low frequencies, although your voice has a great deep end, it shines a bit more than the rest of the frequency range so a tiny little eq on that low end can even it out, but honestly, it is just me being a bit picky since the quality now is pretty great.
Whenever you are ready to apply again, send us a message to support@bunnystudio.com and I will personally help you out since the best way to reapply on accounts that got a first rejection is to actually delete the account (we have to do that on our end) so you can create a new one and apply again like the first time.
I will be awaiting your email, and congrats again!
Kind regards,
Daniel
Hey Daniel!
Thanks so much for the feedback. I appreciate it very much.
There were three frequencies in the lower band I wanted to hit with like a 50Q band with a -3db, just to tweak out the low end a smidge...but like you I'm really picky, and was stuck with flat EQ.
I'll send you an email now and follow up with you over there.
And to anyone reading...I only got to that point by reading about 5,000 of the community posts ans suggestions here and applying the tweaks I learned from them.
Sincerely,
David R Piper
You are welcome, David!
I just saw your email so I will reply there in a second.
Kind regards,
Daniel
