Immediate rejection after re-submission

Hey, rant incoming.

So I did a speedy last weekend, submitted around 8.40pm UK time, at around 11.30pm UK time I received a text and email saying it needed revising as there were QC issues (boxiness and mouth clicks). Fair enough, but 6 minutes to re-submit. What? I emailed back explaining that 6 minutes to re-record a voiceover to a high standard really isn't enough, and the agent (I forget their name) said they would pass that feedback on. Great.

Then I re-recorded it, ensuring to pay attention to mouth clicks and reducing any boxiness. Less than a minute after I re-submitted it was rejected on grounds of Mouth Clicks. I would expect a certain degree of mouth clicks due to the close proximity to the microphone but there was nothing in there that affected your listening to the audio, right? But there is a significant improvement between them, can you hear it? I had to be that close to the mic due to the directions from the client so i minimised the mouth clicks in recording and in post.

How closely did QC listen to the revision to determine the quality was unacceptable, because from my trained ears, there are significantly fewer mouth noises in the 2nd version compared to the first. If you agree, please amend my stats and maybe even consider paying me for my time and effort re-doing this. The project was not an insignificant value and I really do not feel it is fair to basically instantly reject a revision when the quality is markedly improved. Please listen here:

Hope you can understand my frustrations, yes the first version has some mouth clicks which I corrected in the second version, but the inconsistency in the QC's evaluation of the audio makes it very stressful working as a pro here. Why do some (higher value) projects take longer to QC? Why do revisions get instantly rejected? What is the point in re-submitting in a hurry if it will just be instantly rejected? Please explain.

I take pride in my work and high standard. This has only happened to me once before (that was due to perceived vocal age which is totally subjective) and it is no less frustrating the second time.
