Pre-filled descriptions
I would love to see VB projects utilize a pre-set group of descriptives on the booking page that clients can check off (Conversational, Professional, Game Show Host, Deep, Authoritative, Funny, Guy Next Door, etc...).
A list of adjectives that VO talent are familiar with along with radio buttons or check boxes that a client can choose -- and perhaps even a link from each adjective that will bring up a definition (or even an example) of what that adjective means in the context of voice over, would go a long way to getting clients what they want in an efficient manner. For example: Last week I had an issue with a project where I felt the client didn't use the right descriptive in his description for what they wanted. They used "casual" when they meant "conversational" and to me, with a VO, those imply different nuances.
With a streamlined method to convey the exact type of read the client needs there can be a clearer line of communication between client and talent, especially given that there are many clients who are admittedly not very experienced with sourcing voice overs and are not really sure how to properly describe what they want without a sample or someone else's YouTube video as an example.

Thanks for the suggestion Mark! Making it easier for the client to describe exactly what they want is always an area we want to improve. I will definitely add this suggestion to our product development inbox. :)
Great idea Mark. I have done some jobs with virtually no instruction on the read, only to have it rejected. Better information up front will help create better projects. By adding this into the job posting process it will help promote getting it done.
