Why was my read rejected?
Hey out there!
I just submitted a read for a concrete project and it was rejected by the following reason:
"Thanks for submitting, but unfortunately, we cannot approve this read because the quality of your audio is not up to VoiceBunnyâs standards. You must have professional recording equipment and a soundproof space."
I am recording in a voice box with double MDF and fibreglass in between. Furthermore the whole inside of the box is filled with 7 cm prymide foum.
I am using a Røde NT1-A condenser microphone with pop shield and a Tascam US-122 MKII interface. All recorded with cubase on a mac book pro.
This is the equipment most of my my demos have been recorded with and I am working with for every client. It is also displayed on my website and in every portal. There has never ever been a rejection because of the sound quality and I was invited to voicebunny by the lead talent seeker that said, I match their requirements. Means: requirements in voice and equipment. Otherwise there was no reason to invite me.
Now I am confused and I am not able to submit a better quality anyway, because that's my professional equipment and I am not planning to renew it within the next few years. Some of the other reads I've been listening to are in a lot worse quality.
I uploaded the recording by the following link for you, for that you can give me some feedback:

If the quality isn't good enough I have to deactivate my voicebunny account, because I can't do anything about it right now.
Thanks a lot for your help and feedback!
Best regards,
Anni

Dear Anni ,
i listened to your given link voice sample .
according to me ..it is best quality voice sample of yours ..no one can say it bad ,,rather it is very crystal clear quality .
One thing which is notable is ,its volume, which is very low and it should be some more high or you should Normalize it up to -6db...so that it may become some more easily hear able
best regards
nitin (niranjan)
Hey Nitin!
Thanks a lot for your feedback!
I highered the volume and sent it out again and hope I'll still be able to be part of the casting process for that project.
I'll remember to care about the volume in future :)
Have a nice day!
Anni
Hello Anni! The audio submitted here sounds good, quality wise, but it is very quiet (I had to turn my headphones all the way up to hear). Perhaps that is why the quality assurance team rejected it. Be sure to record your audio between -3db and 0db.
