A method for preventing potential abuse
Hello everyone. I'm new to voicebunny, but already something has stood out to me as a potentially serious issue.
I did a casting earlier for an IVR and the complete script was divided into three parts. It was a secret project so I won't share it here, but I'll give you an example:
Part 1: Thank you for calling ABC Inc. Press 1 for customer service, press 2 for sales.
Part 2: You have made an incorrect selection.
Part 3: Please enter your PIN.
The problem is, the audition was all of Part 1.
What stops clients from creating "dummy" parts and then using auditions as their final product? The audition I submitted would work fine for the voice menu, parts 2 and 3 weren't 100% necessary.
My suggestion is that for short projects like this voicebunny should either degrade the audio quality of the audition (the client would still be assured that it would be top-quality in the final product since voicebunny listens to everything we send in), or allow the talent to change things up.
For example, instead of saying "Thank you for calling ABC Inc." they could let us replace any company name with "voice bunny" in auditions. It would still work, the client would know what we sound like, but the snippets would be unusable.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this? It seems like not only could voice actors lose money because of the potential abuse of the casting system but also voice bunny so it seems like they should be on top of it.
Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the idea Rob. We do not allow clients to download auditions until they have selected a winner. Could they play it from their speakers into their phone system? Yes, but that would be the same as degrading the quality to make it unusable. Since clients are paying for audio upfront, they rarely try to "steal" something they've already paid for. If they do try to download the audio by somehow going around our platform, we have ways of knowing. If a client asks for the entire script to be read as an audition, feel free to shorten it, just make sure they have enough to get a good idea of your voice.
