Sorry I am just now following up here! Thanks for your comments, Rhett. You're right. You sound quite American to me. We've made some improvements to our quality control process so hopefully you won't run into this again. I apologize sincerely and have taken the rejection off of your stats. Thanks again!

Absolutely, 100% African-American male, born and bred in the USA. If it turns out you're a white Irish guy, I would still hire you based on that audition and the job secs (assuming there wasn't a better voice, of course). You fit the bill.

I wish there was a better way to challenge some of these rejections or get a quick second opinion. Now I'm wondering about who actually got the gig, and what he sounded like!

Keep on, buddy! You've got the goods, and you'll get jobs. -cat

not sure if this link will work for others, but it works for me.

check out the 4 auditions that were accepted and there's no doubt why the client didn't choose any. I'm may not have been what the client was looking for, but whoever did the reviewing on this one must have fallen asleep on his/her keyboard. I'm fairly certain they just didn't want to pay me the far above average $11 for auditioning (it's normally like $3-4 for me).
