Comment Form: Phone Number

Could you ask your web team to fix the phone field on the comment form? If I haven't submitted a comment in a while, I forget that the phone number HAS to be formatted as a string of numbers with no parentheses, dashes, or dots.

In a perfect world, the form would accept any punctuation and then strip it out behind the scenes, so that it can be inserted into the database in the correct, number-only, format. In a less perfect world, also perfectly acceptable, you can change the heading from "Phone number" to "Phone number (numeric only)". Then it would be clear what was expected.
