Allowing VAs to counter with a higher price
Ok here you go: you should allow actors to counter the price offered - VB and the VA both would make more money!
Example - Joe Blow company wants to pay $X for a voiceover, for which the actor would get, say, $21.00. I, as an actor, see that the read might be a little long or challenging for the $21.00 and am therefore not that interested in taking a stab at it. However... I might be interested in going through the motions of preparing an audition for it IF I can say "Yo! I'll do it, and here is my kick butt audition you can mull over, but I want 42 bucks to do the actual read." If this were possible, the client has a broader selection to choose from, and VB and we actors have a shot at making more money if they choose us! Whaddaya think?
can I be parter now?
