Longer time limits for involved speedies
I lost another one today because it timed out while I was uploading the last few parts. I even recorded and did some of the editing before accepting the project, and time was still that tight. A batch uploader would help slightly here, but I really think you're missing out on quality submissions—and ultimately making your clients wait longer for a finished product after multiple internal rejections due to expiry and rushed work—by giving us less than 30 minutes to record/edit/clean-up/master/export/upload a 13-part children's book that's meant to be read slowly (or in another case, a project that required precise synchronization to a video). I don't see how I could possibly speed up my workflow that dramatically (to do it all after hitting accept) without cutting corners on the results.

Hi Frasier,
I feel your pain and so do many others. We are working on an improvement to the timer for Speedies that will take into account the length of the script and if multiple audio files are needed. Sorry for the frustration and I appreciate your patience.
Thanks, but I'm afraid it's too late for my stats.
Frasier, I had the same issue. Tara was great in helping me out, but you're right... it kills our STATs. When that one page is all we have as a representation of our reputation, every negative response might as well be the word FAILURE tattoo'd across our faces... VB really needs to improve on this aspect of an otherwise beneficial platform. Good luck!
