Not showing up in search?
Hey there! :)
For a little while I was getting booked on a very regular basis, and then upon the new search function switch-over, I find I'm barely getting booked at all! I sent in a help request and was told that the search sorted the samples by stats, but... I'm not showing up at all! :\ I have multiple samples in nearly every category, and for the category I used to get booked for the most (phone systems) I don't show up in the search whatsoever! I have a 4.5+ star rating and my turnaround time is fantastic (or so my stats page says on my end), but it's not even that I'm just lower on the search page... I'm just not there at all! The only one I could find for me was under videogame characters.
I'm also fairly certain that there are more than 10 or 12 results per category (with the exception of commercials) for females in the 20-39 year old age bracket with a star rating of 4.5+, since that seems to be a pretty high-demand demographic. Doesn't this seem a bit unfair to most other VA's who have uploaded several samples for each category and have good stats?
Anyhow, I was just wondering what determines whether or not you actually show up for searches. I could understand if I had a horrible rating and my turnaround time was deplorable, but it's not. I'd also understand if I just kinda fell down the ladder in the search function, but I don't get disappearing completely.
Thanks! :)

P.S. - I dunno if I can choose who responds to these, haha, but I love it when Tara replies. Her responses feel very personal and compassionate. :)

Hey Katie,
Apparently, it takes a little while for the samples to be indexed properly. You should be showing up now. I believe Miguel also followed up via email. Thanks for your patience.
Hey Kate, Thanks for your kind words and I'm super sorry for my delayed response here. As you know, we recently launched a new search page and also updated the logic. The historical data the algorithm uses to determine which samples show up where and for which clients is quite complex. I am just checking with engineering to be sure there's not a bug before diving into the actual calculations. I promise to follow up asap. Thanks for your patience.
