Wow, just got informed that there is no QC available from 8pm EST to 3am EST. How about more complete coverage?
So, that translates to 4pm to 11pm on the west coast of the US. This means that there is noone to QC reads in the evening for us on the west coast which leads to the situation I had last night with a read that needed a small correction but I didn't get notification for almost 6 hours. By that time, I had gone to bed and couldn't respond within the time frame. And to top it off, the email gave no info as to why the revision needed to be done.
So, in the interest of being fast like a bunny, wouldn't it be prudent to have coverage until at least a bit later in the evening for us who are doing work in our early evening?
Or is it that there is not enough volume of work at that time that it doesn't matter to Mr. Bunny? It does matter to me and others when situations like this happen.
And as for this response from Mr. Bunny:"Yup, that's how it is at the time. Those times have changed more than once, though. And they can change again." All I can say is "And well they should."

Thanks Mark. My comments
You are right. We should have a longer coverage for QC. We are working on having it in place during this quarter. We are currently covering 19 hours every day. Just in case, it is not correct that we restart at 3:00am EST. We start working at 1:00am EST. Please accept our apologies if this has affected your performance at some point. We'll let you know as soon as we fix this impasse.
I also agree that my team could have given you a different answer. Thanks for bringing up the topic. We've already discussed this topic internally and we have taken actions in order to avoid this from happening again.
