Job Announcement Integration
Hi,
Just wanted to point out a small anomaly that occurred last night. I was getting ready to shut down when I noticed a booking showed up. I took a look and did it.
I did receive a text for it, but the email to announce the job didn't show up for another 4 hours, after the job was finished.
Just thinking that tighter integration of the job announcements wouldn't be a bad thing. In this case, I got lucky and saw the job right away, but it could have meant I would miss it for several hours. And you know how we want to be quick like bunnies and get the jobs out!
Thanks.

Hi Mark!
Sorry for getting here so late!
I'm sorry for this inconvenience. I have reported this case to our engineering team as it looks like we didn't get back to you before about this matter. You should be getting the emails 2-3 minutes after the project hits your dashboard, so 4 hours is totally not the expected time frame for this.
I will make sure we investigate it thoroughly and to get back to you via email with the resolution to the case.
Thank you for reporting this!
And as a followup, I received a revision request via text this morning at 9:09am.
I took until 2:09pm to receive the email notification.
Because the first announcement was in a text, I could not work on it right away. From the email, I can click right through and get going.
I have yet to see the revision request on my projects page.
I guess I could have done this:
1: Open text message in phone
2: Click on link to open browser on phone
3: Copy URL in browser
4: Open email on phone
5: Create email to myself
6: Paste URL for job into email
7: Go to VO computer and open email
8: Copy URL from email into browser and go to job.
Now, I have a better idea. How about we go back to having the job, no matter the type show up on the project page immediately followed by the text and email being sent?
It used to work that way. What broke? Can we fix it so that it works again?
I second the revision request problem Mark describes in his follow-up! That happened to me too! Very frustrating. And I agree with his proposed solution. Post the revision request, details, and 'submit revision' button to the project page. That way we don't need to wait for the email and link, to see the requested change and submit it!
