New Talent Manager: Introduction
Introduction
On April 12th, we hosted a webinar to introduce the new Head of Talent Management, Angela Serrano. Here, she talked a little bit about herself and gave an insight into what are the expectations and goals of our Talent Management area.
Angela has a major in music with a minor in audio production and joined Bunny Inc. to the production management team around 1 year ago. Now, she has the responsibility of taking care of our Bunny Pro community as the Head of our Talent Management team.
Goals and expectations
Our main focus right now is to improve our communications. It’s very important to us that you are aware of what we do and how we’re doing it. This is why we are developing new ways to communicate better with you. We will be hosting webinars with different company members, releasing a podcast with interviews from successful voice actors to give you advice and insights about voice acting, and we are designing a monthly newsletter as well to keep you all up to date. We hope all our efforts are super helpful to keep us all aligned.
In the long-term, we will also be working to improve current features from our website to make them easier to understand. We’re positive these changes will benefit all of us a lot!
Q&A
Here are some of the questions that were asked during the Webinar by our attendees:
|
Why don't you use different rates (in voice-over), depending on the way the voice is going to be used. For example different rates for TV use, the internet, nonbroadcast, etc.? |
In Bunny Inc., we allow our clients to be private about the use of their pieces. This means that we will allow them to create their projects without asking what they’re going to use them for in order to help them protect their privacy. Due to this, we have determined to charge our clients per word and not per project application which is why this is a variable that is not taken into account when we ask you to set your rates.

Sometimes, when I get an invitation to participate in a contest and I get right to it, it’s already full. Why does this happen? Whenever you get an invitation to participate in a contest, we are inviting many other pros at the same time. As we allow other pros to participate in the project as well, and we only have 3 spots available, they usually go by really fast. We suggest you have your dashboard open whenever you are available to record so you can be aware of the project as soon as it’s available and you can accept it before other person does after opening the email. |
Can I submit more than one take? I feel that being able to submit two takes in a single file would mean less chance of revisions being necessary :)
Sure! We encourage you to submit more than 1 take whenever you consider it necessary. Just make sure to submit both takes in the same audio file and that they are well separated from each other. Also, make sure they are well edited so our client can identify which one they would like to choose.
