Audio Recording Issues
Alright, I need some assistance from people more knowledgeable on this than I. I have recorded multiple works for Bunny before without issue, suddenly I am having continuing problems with mic-hiss and echoing, even after making upgrades to my set up. Audio samples enclosed below.
Set up is a Rode NT1-A Large Diaphragm Condenser mic with a shock mount and pop filter, set up in a Troy Studio Portable Sound Recording Vocal Booth Box, run through a Line 6 UX2 audio interface that currently has the gain turned completely down, into Audacity set to Windows DirectSound on a Mono recording channel. The mic and booth are set on a mic stand set to standing height in my basement on a carpeted floor, I typically stand while recording, several feet away from the computer reading off a tablet.
If it is something that could be relevant, samples 1 and 2 are read off a tablet, 3 from a book

Thank you so much for your response, I purposefully record a fair distance away from the computer or vents so I would lean towards the pre-amps, I will get a screenshot for you soon. Is there anything specific you need/want to be able to see?
As for the booth, is there a portable sound booth you would recommend, preferably one that isn't too expensive?
