Speedy Rates vs Booking Rates

    Hi Ted!
How do you do? We hope well! =)

For Speedies and Contest, a Pro's Rates will determine not only what projects they receive, but also, how soon they are invited!

When Speedies and Contests are created by a client, it calculates the window of rewards that it is able to offer, according to project type and size. Of course, Pros with lower Rates (and good stats) will have an advantage and will be invited first to these projects, as they offer competitive prices.

Taking the project Reward window into consideration, if a Speedy or a Contest is not taken immediately by a Pro, the Reward is adjusted slightly up, which allows more Pros to be invited into the project! What happens is that, when a project reward is adjusted, the new reward may be compatible with Pros that have higher Rates than the first ones that were invited.

Important: when this happens, Pros that were invited on the first wave of invitations for a project are still able to accept the project, even after new invitations are sent! However, the reward they will receive is still the same as they were first offered. This is tailored to comply with our expectation that Pros must honor the Rates they've set when they have received an invitation, so project rewards are not dynamic according to one single Pro's Rates.

For Bookings, it is a little different! When a client creates a Booking, this means that they already have a Pro in mind. Since this project is created directly with this Pro, the reward will be calculated directly from the Pro's Rates instead.

Of course, we will pitch in your suggestion with our team in regards to having separate Rates for Speedies, Contests and Bookings, as we understand that this could be interesting for our Pros!

We hope that this information helps, but please feel free to reach out anytime you have questions or doubts! We'll do our best to help!

    Kindest regards,

    Gabriela Schneider
