    Hi, Edwin!
    How do you do?

Thank you for writing to us about this situation!
We have looked into your account, and we'll do our best clarify how our invitations work:

Our system distributes invitations for Pros in batches.

First, the invitations for a project are sent to Pros whose Rates match with the initial reward offered.
However, Project rewards may increase with time, if Pros don't take the project immediately.

Once the reward is increased, a new invitation is sent to more Pros whose Rates match the new offered reward. These batches of invitations happens very fast, and will go on until the project reward reaches its reward cap.

What we understand has happened there, is that you are getting the invitation, but another Pro has received the invitation a little earlier and accepted to participate on the project earlier than other Pros with higher Rates.

This goes for Speedies and Contests, as they are time-sensitive on the platform, and reach a variety of Pros.
You may always try experimenting with your rates - specially lower ones- to make sure that you get more invitations sooner!

Trying out new rates will have the system to refresh once in a while, and is always a good way to keep finding which rates work best for you. Here are some tips to get the most of your Rates:

    • Ensure that your rates grow progressively along with the number of words!
Rates that are too close in number can limit the calculations on which projects to send you.

    • Make sure to not set your rates too high for low word counts, or rates too low for high word counts.
This will ensure that our system can send you projects with the best rewards for each script length!

    • Check your Stats to determine what can be improved.
Anything from your Response Time and your Revision count, to your Expirations and Rejections, will be counting against your Stats if they are higher than other Pros.
If you find any Expirations, Rejections or projects with a lot of Revisions requested, please let us know via email and we'll take a look for you. We may be able to remove them and help your Stats get better!

    • Extremely low Rates can also limit your invitations!
By setting your Rates too low, you may not be counted in for projects that pay higher rewards than what you're asking for!
To make sure that you are eligible for a wider range of invitations, make sure to use the option to Receive speedy projects that pay a certain percentage lower than your current Rates. This option can be found in your Rates and Preferences page, right below your Speedy settings.

We hope that this explanation covers your doubts!

If there is anything else we can assist you with in the meantime, please don't hesitate to let us know.

    Kindest regards,

    Gabriela Schneider
