This is a great question! I'll be very curious to hear how Bunny answers this.

    Hi Chuck,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I'll do my best to clarify how Rate progression works and how rewards are calculated for Bookings. We understand this can be tricky.

When you set your Rates, they reflect the cost per word for various word count ranges. However, these are not the exact values that may be reflected for your Rewards: what really counts is the progressiveness factor. The system uses these to calculate rewards for projects that fall between your defined tiers.

Here’s an example of how a Pro's Rates might look, and how it affects progression.

    • 5 words: $20 → $4 per word
    • 50 words: $30 → $0.60 per word
    • 500 words: $160 → $0.32 per word
    • 5000 words: $1300 → $0.26 per word

Let's say this Pro receives a Booking for 150 words, the system calculates the reward based on the progression between their 50-word Rate and their 500-word Rate. Since the per-word Rate decreases as the word count increases, the system finds a fair point between $0.60 (50 words) and $0.32 (500 words). This results in a minimum reward of $75. Additional rewards may be added to your reward depending on a project's specifications or requirements, such as dubbing or syncing.

We hope this information is clear, however, if you'd like us to take a deeper look into your Stats, we'll do our best to help! Simply email us at support@bunnystudio.com and we'll assist you.

    Kind regards,

Another question in regards to calculating $$ per words. How does the process apply to speedies?

Do the rates pro's set on their profile also affect speedy sum totals?

"We understand this can be tricky."

Figuring out how or rewards are calculated shouldn't be tricky. It should be transparent. That would allow us to set our per-word values at a rate with which we're comfortable. When I set my per-word values, I should know what my reward for, say, 150 words would be.

Perhaps the solution would be a price calculator like what's available for clients to find out what it would cost to use a certain Pro for their project. So a Pro could assign their rates for 5, 50, 500 etc but type 150 into the calculator so show what their base reward would be for that word count with those values.

    Hi, Ted and Chuck!

Thanks for replying and sharing your thoughts and feelings about this situation.

We are going to share this feedback with our team, and see how we can further improve this and bring more transparency to our Pros regarding their rewards!

Please keep in mind that, for Speedies and Contests, you may receive projects that pay a certain percentage less than your current Rates - this is due to the drop-down option in your Rates and Preferences:

This is tailored for two reasons: 1 - Pros will be eligible for a wider range of projects and opportunities, and 2 - due the wider distribution between Pros, projects are matched as fast as possible with an available Pro.

The price on your Profiles includes both our markup as well as your Rates - and so, it includes 100% of your calculated Reward (according to your Rates). However, your Rates do play an important part on the amount of invitations of Speedies and Contests you receive! The more competitive your Rates are against other Pros, along with great Stats, a Pro's placement for invitations will be on the very first batch - as soon as the project is launched, these Pros may receive the invitation earlier than other Pros with worse Stats or higher Rates.

If you wish to have an estimate of your Booking rewards at any moment for a certain word count, you can reach out to us via support@bunnystudio.com and we'll provide this estimate for you!

If you have any doubts or questions, please don't hesitate to share them with us! We hope this information was helpful, but we're here to help in case you need!

    Best regards,

    Gabriela Schneider
