Why was I rejected?
I have no idea why this was rejected. The Bunny manager told me that it was "processed"
It was NOT PROCESSED AT ALL! It was a straight dry read with ZERO EFFECTS OR PROCESSING.

Hi William,
I'm not a manager. Just another Bunny Pro riding the boards until I can get my profile reactivated.
I can understand your frustration so I gave your sample a listen and I wanted to share my thoughts...
There is a strange warble to your voice that makes it sound like you used something like a de-esser or de-breather. There is also some background noise, like a tv or something. You can really hear it at 11 seconds.
Hope this helps.
Good luck,
Adam
I am new here as well so I am learning quite the bit. You had a great sample. Maybe they were concerned with the speed. JMTC
William I am new here as well and could not eval noise if any currently as at work over earbuds but that said I thought your voice and read was warm and storylike detective in this, was inviting in inflection. Try them again. I'm going to but am awaiting some improvements in my setup. Luck to us all, kind of like a lonely hearts club :)
Jim
Jim,
You'll need to invest in some studio headphones if you want to make it out of the LHC.
Cheers,
Adam
Adam thank you. I'm guessing LHC is the Low Hiss Club maybe :) Got it, thanks!
Hey William and thank everyone for your awesome feedback! Very useful comments here form all of you! You're the best!
I'm Angela, part of the Bunny Inc. Team :) Let me give you my thoughts here.
So, I have to agree with Adam and our QC team. The recording sounds as if it had a de-breather or a noise reduction process. The recording sounds very filtered on certain frequencies and with a sound halo at the back. This is a clear indicator of noise reduction processing. Did you apply anything on your DAW called de-noiser or de-breather? You can clearly pick up the degrading from the noise reduction on the breathes which have the warbled sound Adam mentioned.
If you 100% didn't do anything on your DAW, this could've been caused by a broken microphone's capsule, a damaged cable that is not connecting well on your preamp, or a popped preamplifier channel. I highly suggest you review any of these options!
Could you let us know which equipment you're using? It could give us a hint.
Have no clue it doesn't matter. All my projects are being accepted now regardless.
Appreciate all the feedback!
It may have been the microphone. I purchased a new one and now I'm getting my auditions through. With the process of getting all my studio kinks worked out...I wanted to know if my stats are affecting my invites to auditions....I haven't seen any here since Friday...could be a slow weekend...
https://voicebunny.com/users/stats/
Could you check my stats and let me know if my stats are hurting my invites to auditions? What's usually the "threshold" to continue to receive audition invites?
Thanks!
Hi William!
Thanks for letting me know. Which mic are you using now? If you could also let me know which interface you're using, it would be super helpful!
Now, about the stats the link you shared doesn't link to your stats directly, but I was able to find them and I see that they're not the best. For example, from 28 auditions you've sent only 4 have been chosen by the client. This is quite low taking into consideration our average Pros. Same happens for Speedy projects. Out of 16, 4 have been rejected which also lowers your ranking quite a bit.
Overall, I see you have 7 rejections from our QC team and 5 expired reads. This is quite critical and does, indeed, affect your ranking and invitation flow. This doesn't mean you won't get invitations ever again, but it does mean you will see less invitations until your ranking has picked up.
Hope this explained it!
I was hoping you could take a look at this....
So here's my order...
https://voicebunny.com/projects/1-aeg-queens-ofthe-stone-age-osl-a170-a896-c035558-fetch-13288-2814dca4a6-31d1-46f7-8345-df0323f03a
So I received request from a client who stated he wanted a different younger sounding voice altogether. This obviously was not a revision request but a request to change the voice actor altogether.
The Client sent it as a "revision" instead of going through voice bunny.
I was penalized for "not getting the revision done in time"...even though I reported the problem to a Voice Bunny Manager who never got back to me
I'd also like to talk about one rejection in particular
https://voicebunny.com/projects/1-sbf-voicemail-greeting-male
This project was sent to me as an invitation. It's for a bi-lingual voicemail greeting.
I don't speak spanish. Is it a common practice to send spanish auditions to English speaking voicebunnies?
I was under the assumption that the invites to auditions for English are sent to English speaking voicebunnies...
After I accepted the project, I didn't realize it was for a bi-lingual voice artist...I immediately brought this up to a voicebunny
who didn't get back to me. This was counted against me because I let the project expire apparently, even though I was trying to reach out to a manager to let them know I recieved the wrong invitation. .
Hi Will!
Thanks for sharing the case!
This is not quite common and we do have a category for English with Latin American accent. However, as we don't have a the option for bilingual projects at the moment, some clients create contests in English - North America to allow participants who are indeed bilingual to participate. Ideally, you should scroll through these projects and avoid accepting them unless you can deliver. Please make sure you read the project's brief very carefully before accepting a project to avoid having these type of inconveniences.
