     Derek,

Welcome to the club. The same thing happened to me. I've been trying to get my profile reactivated since Jan 3rd. Allow me to share some advice to help get you where you want to be.

Start by deleting all of the samples in question from your profile. Don't bother trying to fix any of them, it'll just waist your time.

Submit a new sample for consideration. This can be any sample of your choice, 15-30 seconds. Submit a brand new recording from your space with no compression or eq. Only normalize to -3 and clean up any breaths/mouth noise. You must go over your recording with a fine tooth comb (so to speak), listening for background noise, distance to the mic, room echo and anything else you can think of. Trust me, extra scrutiny could save you a week.

Practice your patience. There's a long line, and only one, sometimes two Bunny Managers working these cases. It's going to take some time.

Here's a link to my message string. It might give you some insight.

    Hi Derek!

Thank you for sharing your case. I'm checking here and I don't see an account registered with the email address with which you're posting this thread. Can you let me know which account (you can share the profile's link or your Pro ID) so I can check and give you the best feedback for your personal case?

What Adam says is basically the best practice and you will save some time with that! If you want, you can share the sample from your studio on this thread as it's already opened :)

    Dear Angela Serrano,

It should be linked to either derek.belew@yahoo.com, or derekbelewvo@gmail.com.

Thank you very much for your time!

    Hi Derek!

    Thanks for sharing this information.

So, checking your profile, I do see that we had to put your profile on hold because 2 out of your 4 from your submissions you have provided have been rejected by our QC team. Also, I see here that 3 out of those 4 have been sent back from revision, too.

This case is different from Adam's as his account was placed on hold due to the majority of his samples being rejected. In your case, it wasn't directly the samples, but the actual deliveries to projects.

However, what he said is true! Please share a sample under your current recording settings. We'll be listening to them and giving you all the possible feedback. Once we've found the quality to be up to our standards, your profile will be reactivated instantly.

    Looking forward to your recordings!

Where would you prefer me to send the recordings?

    Dear Angela Serrano,

Sorry for the delay, but I have just finished uploading my voice samples for you.

One of them is edited using my own software and the other is raw unedited audio.

Thank you very much for your time.

    Sincerely,

    Derek Belew

    Hi Derek

    Thank you for sharing!

So, checking the recordings, I do 100% prefer the raw take over the processed one. The processed one sounds over compressed and even distorts at some points. I do, however, find some issues on the raw take as well. Let me go ahead and mention them for you!

There's a lot of room echo and some hiss noise that is adding to the sibilance of the recording. I believe this is caused by the acoustic treatment and positioning of the mic in the space. The sibilance, in this case, I believe is directly related as to how the voice is reacting in the space and is being picked up by the mic.

I suggest you try recording a bit off-axis from the mic and switching how you have your mic in the space. It would also be worth it finding which surfaces are having an impact in generating this extra reflections. We usually recommend you to cover any surfaces like windows, tables, etc. that are adjacent to the mic to avoid unwanted reflections!

    Dear Angela Serrano,

I'm very sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but I have managed to get around to improving on the take I provided last time.

You can find it at this link.

Thank you very much for your time.

    Sincerely,

    Derek Belew

    Hi Derek

Thank you for sharing the take. The recording still has a lot of room echo and sounds very sibilant. This is more likely caused by an inadequate treatment of your space. We hosted a webinar in acoustic treatment that I believe will be beneficial for you. Check it out here: https://help.bunnyinc.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115000007524-Acoustics-101

    Hope it helps!

    Hi,

My account says I am no longer accepting bookings. All of my samples have been accepted a long while back and I have not received a booking request nor a question on whether I would like to keep receiving booking requests. Would appreciate it if someone from VoiceBunny could reactivate my account soon.

    Sincerely,

    John

    Hi John

I am checking here and your profile was deactivated because 7 out of your 12 samples have been rejected by our Quality Control team. Our system does this completely automatically to ensure we're only offering the best quality to our clients.

We will be able to reactivate your profile only after we've confirmed that the issues with your quality have been addressed. Your profile was temporarily reactivated last week, but we had to deactivate again due to your sample not matching the quality we expect. We hope you understand.

Please create a new thread with a file you've recorded recently so we can give you all our feedback and help you elevate your quality. Once we confirm we can approve your recordings, your profile will be reactivated.
