    Hi,

Unfortunately, both samples sound a bit filtered. This could be caused by using too much noise reduction. There's also a bit of room echo/reflections affecting the recording.

Please send us a raw recording (no processing) so we can provide you with more detailed feedback.

Thanks for sharing. The two main issues with the recording are background noises and hiss/electrical noise. The first step  would be finding the source of this hiss. It's most likely coming from one of the elements in your recording chain, and most likely your recording device (interface/preamp). Check this post for further tips: https://goo.gl/nlaCvU

Recording with less gain could help, but it depends on your setup.

If you could share with us what equipment are you using that would be great, as we may be able to give you more suggestions.

    Hi D.J

I have to agree with Seb's comments. The hiss, which to me is at a critical level, is very prominent so it more likely is coming from a piece of equipment you have.

Are you using a USB mic? If you're not, would you mind sharing the list of equipment you use? Maybe we can help you understand where it's mainly coming from. You can also try connecting things differently and see if that helps!
