Hi Jeff,
Listening to your audition there are three issues:
- There are plosives throughout (for example in "expensive"), make sure you record using a pop-filter.
-There is audible room echo (reverberation) impacting your recording. Please ensure you record in an acoustically treated space. If you already have acoustic treatment, it may not be adequate. You’ll find tips on acoustic treatment on our community page: https://goo.gl/vGqUIW.
-There are audible editing cuts in between words.
I think the most difficult issue to fix here is the room echo as it requires acoustic treatment.
