Rejected for audible backgound noise? (Fan or AC)

I had a submission rejected recently because of a background fan or AC. I just want to see if other people hear it, because, try as I might, I just don't. Feedback is welcome. Thanks!

Angela, from the Bunny Team here! Let me give you my feedback.
So, I don't listen to the fan or AC in the back, but I do feel the recording sounds very boxy and the "s" sounds a bit hissy. Not sibilant, but as if it had some white noise. These problems are usually caused by an insufficient or inadequate booth treatment. Maybe the booth is too small and there are some reflective surfaces near you that could be reflecting the voice and making it sound thin and a bit dull.
There's also a chance this could be caused by your mic's capsule which is not the best for your voice. Would you mind lettind us know how you're recording? Microphone, interface, etc.
