Contest submission rejected

Hi Bunny Community!

I just had this submission rejected and I am curious about every ones opinion. Please review and tell me what you think. Here is the reason for rejection.

Hi, Adam- the overall volume of your audio is too loud and some parts are distorting. If you’re using a compressor and/or limiter please bypass such processing. Your audio levels should never pass beyond -3dBFS peak.

The issue is clearly audible at 00:01

I didn't use any processor. Only normalized to -3db.

Hi Adam!

Thanks for sharing. I believe that, taking into consideration the nature of this specific recording, you may be recording a bit too near which makes the gain sound as if you were way too much of it. I suggest that, for this type of recordings that are a bit yelled, you scrap your gain from any previous recording and adjust it. I'd also record 1 inch farther than usual to avoid any distorting that may give this overcompression feeling due to excessive gain.
