Hi, Angus
Unfortunately, there's still some slapback echo in your recording. It is especially audible in loud parts.
Some clients do prefer a dry recording so you'll still need to work on acoustic treatment/mic positioning to improve this issue.
Make sure you're not recording close to bare walls, panels, windows or even screens as those can reflect back the sound causing this effect.
Also, have a look at this post for more ideas on how to treat your room: https://goo.gl/vGqUIW
Share with us new samples and we'll be happy to porvide more feedback.

I've played around with Mic position a bit and I think I've got it sounding better, I'll attach two different locations and if you could let me know if either of these are more appropriate or if one is better than the other

Here is another short recording with a different mic, in case you think this sounds better
When is it I can expect a response? Not trying to seem impatient, just excited to get back to work
Hey Angus,
Sorry for the late reply. In terms of room echo, the last sample sounds better than previous ones. Make sure to keep just the best samples in your profile.
We've now reactivated your account.
