Boxiness?
I have had my last two contest entries rejected because of boxiness/ boominess in my recordings. I haven't changed my booth or my recording setup. I would like someones opinion on this please.

Hi Adam
I hear a little bit of room slap-back, but it doesn't sound "boxy" or "boomy" to me. But those terms can be subjective.

Hey Adam!
Thanks for sharing. Checking the file, I believe it has a bit of room echo. It doesn't sound boomy to me, but it does sound quite boxy because of a nasal sound in your voice. I suggest you to get your nose out of the mic's main capsule. I usually ensure my nose is directed towards the upper area of the microphone, almost at the edge, while my mouth is directed right in front of the capsule. This helps the nasalness to be less captured by the main capsule.
I'd also check a different way in which you can position yourself in the space to reduce the room echo!
Hope this helps :)
